Religious gatherings

Twice a year we organise large religious gatherings at the cemetery. This includes recitations in Urdu and English. The functions are as follows:

• A Majalis-e-Aza to mourn the death of our 3rd Imam, HussainIbne Ali(as) and his followers during the battle of Kerbala. This takes place on a Sunday immediately after the 12th day of the Holy month of Moharram (soyyem day).
• A Jeshan to commemorate the birth of our 12th Imam, Mehdi Sahibuzaman (Alaihis salaam). This takes place on a Sunday immediately after the 15th day of the month of Shabaan.

The announcement of the itinerary and date of these functions are published at local imambara’s and on this website.

We also inform momineen of these events by SMS text message using a maintai a list of mobile numbers which have been provided to us for this matter. If you wish to be added to this list please contact us.
